Lunch

I really wanted breakfast for lunch today. I had my heart set on it. But when it came time to decide on an eating destination, I was out-voted. They wanted pizza.

Pizza didn't sound good to me at all. My stomach felt funny and I wanted warming comfort food, not acid and grease. But I grudgingly went along with the majority.

When we arrived at the pizza restaurant, the line was so long that people were standing outside the door. It looked like multiple large groups. Apparently it was "everybody eat pizza for lunch" day. There was no way we could get in and out within our allotted lunch hour. So we bailed.

And went to breakfast.

Isn't it funny how things sometimes work out just the way you want?

I had french toast with a side of bacon, and it was delicious. My tummy was happy. :)

Just popping by to say "hi."

Think about this, in 10 years they will do another census and then you'll be able to answer for two (or more).

I love breakfast for dinner. And, I'm a waffle kinda gal with bacon.

I'm glad it all worked out for you. Sometimes the cosmos know what they're doing.

Have a great weekend.

I missed your comment, so sorry for the delay:

Damn Peeper definition: a black bird, probably a Starling which has decided to live in the backyard bamboo. There are several hundred that fly as one big feathered unit in and out of the bamboo all day, every day.

They are damned because they crap all over everything. But even moreso because they wake me up at 5.30 am to sing with the rising sun. I prefer to rise and NOT sing much later than that.

They also do that at twilight and I don't mind it nearly as much because that is my favorite time of the day.

It's going to be nearly 90 tomorrow. I'm not ready for that kind of heat yet. Heck, I still have my flannels on the bed. Guess I'm going to have to fix that.

How was the concert?

I spent the weekend pulling weeds and chopping the bamboo. Didn't seem to scare off the birds either.
